Databases and resources for Communication and Media

Class numbers for this subject are variable, but if you want simply to browse the shelves, most, though not all material on journalism, film and television can be found under the class number PN. Most material on linguistics can be found under the class number P, but this is a very basic guide.

A keyword or subject search on Library Search will state where other material in your required area is on the Library shelves.

Books in the library are shelved according to the Library of Congress Classification System. This video will help you to understand how this system works.

Newspapers

We have a comprehensive guide to newspapers.

SC&A includes manuscripts and archives, medieval to modern; early and finely printed books, and science fiction collections.
